We just came across your blog, began reading, and there was our trailer. What a surprise! We own the 34′ Airstream that was parked next to you in Iowa. Sure wish we had been home. We would have enjoyed listening to stories of all the places you have been. However, we are learning much of it through your blog. You have taken the “dream vacation” that so many of us with trailers would like to pursue. If you are ever back our way, we would be more than happy to show you our Airstream.

Dear Fred and Mary Anne
I am making some web pages about a trip I did to the Marquesas in 1971 and was looking for a photo of Nuku Hiva from the sea, I found yours and was wondering if I might be able to include it as an example of what the place looks like for a distance..

You guys are great–and so lucky to be doing this. Your tips are helpful also-we hope to be able to explore Adirondack Park since we are now in upstate New York through October. Your voyage would be a dream trip for us (minus mosquitos!). btw, newfies are part bear!! The photos are good, testimony to your eye and the Rebel. Happy Journeying!

Camping is fun… or funny - depends on how you look at it!

I love being close to nature for a while - but it is so much more fun coming home to a comfortable bed once more.

Hello,
It looks like you had a good view of Denali. The first trip my husband and I made to the Park we never saw the mountain. But on a later visit we flew into Kantishna and got a good look.

I’ve heard that taking the ferry across the Yukon is kind of an adventure — it’s a small boat and takes only a few cars at a time.

We’re watching your progress on Google maps, and enjoying your entries. Love hearing about Effie too. You picked a great time to be away. Nor’easter came through and the system hanging off the coast is causing extended gloom-both in the weather and people’s attitudes:-) Branch in our driveway came down and shattered the windshield on Mark’s truck.
