After visiting Cape Breton, we drove down to the Bay of Fundy National Park. The tide was out - way out. The boats in the harbor were quite a ways from the water.
They have a special thing they lower to keep the boats from rolling on their side away from the dock.
The tides are the highest in the world.
You can walk a long way out - some people get stuck on sandbars when it comes in fast - best to know how to swim then.
I is a large park - a lot of woods and we saw a large cat scratching post in the main building. They had put a scent on it and left it deep in the woods. It’s purpose was to attract an Eastern Mountain Lion and in the last few years, DNA on a few hairs from at least 2 had been found on the post.
It was getting toward late August. We have visited Halifax and Lunenburg before, mainly by boat. We decided to head back up there next fall as well as go to PEI and return to Cape Breton then. We headed for ME and then home.
